Privacy Policy

RenalWise (“we”, “us”) is an informational nutrition tool for people following a renal diet. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. We designed RenalWise to collect as little as possible.

Information you provide

• Account details — when you sign in (for example with Apple or Google), we receive a basic identifier and, if you choose to share it, your name and email.
• Health and diet inputs — meals you log, photos you scan, and any lab values (such as eGFR or kidney-panel results) or profile details (like weight or blood pressure) you choose to enter.
• Support messages — anything you send us by email.

Information collected automatically

• Basic app diagnostics and crash data, used to keep the app stable.
• Subscription status from the App Store, used to unlock features. We never receive your card number.

How we use your information

• To estimate the nutrients in your meals and calculate your Kidney Score.
• To show your history, labs timeline, and doctor-visit summaries back to you.
• To operate your subscription and provide support.
• To improve reliability and fix problems.

Meal photos and AI

When you scan a meal, the image and related text may be processed by third-party AI and nutrition-data providers solely to estimate its nutrients. We do not use your photos to advertise to you, and we do not sell them.

What we do not do

• We do not sell your personal information.
• We do not use your health inputs for advertising.
• We are not a medical device and do not make medical decisions for you.

Data sharing

We share data only with service providers that help us run the app — such as authentication, cloud storage, subscription management, and the AI/nutrition services used to analyze meals — and only as needed to provide those functions. We may disclose information if required by law.

Data retention and deletion

Your data is kept while your account is active. You can request that we delete your account and associated data at any time by emailing support@renalwise.nextarcstudio.com.

Security

We use industry-standard safeguards to protect your data in transit and at rest. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your information safe.

Children

RenalWise is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date above.
